In my own time I like to customise things. A few months ago I customised two childrens hairbrushes and took pictures at different stages to share on 'TheBigYellowBag'.

Here`s how I did it.

  1. Find a plain brush or object

  2. Gather a collection of odd beads and gems from old necklaces, bracelets or other broken jewelry

  3. Using a hot glue gun, carefully stick the beads and gems onto the back of the brush until it`s all covered.

  4. Use ideas like stacking the beads or mixing the sizes to add a delicate detail.

  5. Fill in the gaps with smaller beads and remove all the stringy bits of glue to complete the design.

Have fun!
